Mai – a textile developed especially for the launch of the Gaia sofa with LK Hjelle, Mai is a unique textile that explores structure and tactility. With coarse bindings and visible threads, the fabric is meant to feel understandable and readable, while playing with optical effects to create a sense of relief – almost three-dimensional. The result is a textile with a soft resemblance to seed-stitch knitting, presented in light color tones that underline both comfort and clarity.
